Title: A piece of chimes
Date: 2003-06-17
Part of the Sentimental Series

Heya people,

And then there's that strange feeling you get when you're not quite sure if
you're awake or dreaming. But the world doesn't have time for you to ponder
it's existance and soon the feeling passes away, drifting off to some far
away place wherein you might catch it at another day, unsupectingly.

But then youre walkin along and the world says "You cant do that." and
you're like "well why da jim-bob-joe-johnson can't i?" and for a brief
second as the world tries to figure out what the hell you just said;
somewhere...a star dies. And then they reply that you just can't. So you
try to figure out why you're being denied access to something you believe
in.

But the problem isnt the world, or what you want to acomplish. The problem
is that you havent taken the time to and courage to be brave enough to defy
those meaningless neglects that haunt your path. it's not a matter of how
to get something done, it's that you need to just take the necessary steps
to get there. While sure the road seem insanely dumb or overwhelming, the
biggest problem is that you're just standing there not attacking it.

But what you don't realize is that no one else can take that step for you,
no one else can walk your path and fight your battles, you just have to be
brave enough to go do it on your own, to take the courage and little bit of
energy and get the ball going. Sure it's scary but it's a momentary feeling
and when ya stick with it you get more comfortable and pretty soon, you
forget just how scary it seemed at first.

But there's a difference between being brave and being stupid. Just because
the world says "no you can't do that" doesn't mean you have to prove them
wrong. Sometimes being brave means knowing when not to go fight a battle.
Sometimes it's not worth the time and energy and pain and tears and all the
crap that goes along with it. Not for insignificant things that just don't
matter.

The difficulty lies in knowing the difference. Actually, it's not even just
knowing the difference, but acting on that knowledge. What good does it do
to know how to read if you never do? You have to act on the knowledge you
have gained, and contemplate the odds to decide whether it's something worth
pursuing. Because sometimes, it's a matter of self restraint. Sometimes
it's not. But who really cares? In the end it's a matter of being brave,
whatever steps might need to be taken.

Leave footprints that go somewhere.

Take care have fun and God Bless,
